Exercise 1 Write a short paragraph predicting what the world of medicine will be like in 2100 AD

Exercise 2 Put the verbs in brackets into the will future or the present simple.

Exercise 3 Complete the sentences using a verb in the present tense.
1. If we (to find) an agent in Abraca to act for us, we can get him to sort out the import license.
2. We should have a field survey before we (to find out) exactly how the firms in Abraca prefer to buy their products.
3. Mr. Grant will be delighted if Mr. Duncan (to give) him a quotation, including delivery charges.
4. It will be more than a nuisance if we (not/to meet) our delivery date. It'll cost us a lot of money.
5. By the time we (to get) the items assembled and delivered they will be about a week late.

Exercise 4 Two managers of an engineering company are trying to arrange a meeting. Put the verbs in brackets into the Present Continuous.
Peter. Could we arrange a time tomorrow to talk about the new freight schedules. Say ... 9.15?
Jack. I am a bit busy first thing because (to have a meeting with a new driver) . Would 10 o'clock suit you?
Peter. I am afraid not. I (to go) over to the factory and after that I (to see) Mr. Henderson for lunch.
Jack. What time (you/to come) back?
Peter. At about 2.30. I suppose, but I (not/to do) anything special after that. Would you be free then?
Jack. No, I don't think so. I (to see) a sales rep from Mercedes from 2.00 until about 3.30. So shall we say 3.45?
Peter. Fine. I'll ask Janet to come along as well. I (to have) lunch with her to day and I'll tell her about it.
Exercise 5 Fill in the blanks with the correct form of the future using will or present continuous.
The export manager of an agricultural machinery company is talking about a sales trip.
Janet. I've booked your flights for your trip to Ethiopia. You (to leave) on the 18 th at 6.30 and that means you (to be) in Addis Ababa late afternoon.
David. What about hotels?
Janet. You (to stay) at the Addis Ababa Hilton and you (to have) to get a taxi there from the airport. Your first meeting is to be on Monday and you (to see) Mr. Haile Mariam at 10.30.
David. (I/need) any vacation?
Janet. I am not sure, but leave it with me. I (phone) the trip agent and I (let) you know what he says.
Exercise 6 Fill in the blanks with the correct form of the future, using will or going to.
A. I am afraid the fax machine isn't working.
B. Don't worry, it is not a very urgent letter. I (to post) it.
A. We have chosen a brand name for the new biscuits.

A. Why are you taking the day off on Friday?
